Dining
Dining at Kirchhayn is a distinctive pleasure.
Breakfast is traditionally served on the verandah as the mist ascends and the mountains and the tea pluckers start their daily routine.
A spread to satisfy the most discerning palates is provided, from tropical fruit, to a full English breakfast or indeed a traditional Sri Lankan feast. And of course all of this, accompanied by Aislaby Tea or Kirchhayn Coffee.
Lunch can be enjoyed at a location of your choice- the verandah, dining room, or perhaps a packed lunch to take out on when venturing about on the estate.
Dinner is a candle lit occasion in the dining room served by the impeccably dressed staff in their traditional white jackets.
Be prepared to treat yourself to quintessential cuisine accompanied by an outstanding selection of wine.

Dream:
The enchanting bedroom suites at Kirchhayn are adorned with wonderful antique furniture that introduces
you to a vivid picture of colonial life.
In keeping with the tone of the by-gone days, the suites at Kirchhayn are named after those who were an integral part of Aislaby Estate and Farm and consequently Kirchhayn Bungalow.

Relax:
In true colonial style, the informal living room that face the garden is decorated aptly with comfortable rattan furniture and is perfect for pre dinner drinks or just or to relax in.
The larger, more lush lounge with lavish sofa’s and armchairs is ideal to wind down in after dinner or just for some quiet time curled up in front of the crackling fire.
There is a large screen tv, cable tv and a extensive DVD collection for those who need a little more entertainment than the serene and tranquil atmosphere that surrounds you

Recreation
Immerse yourself in the clear rock swimming pool that is perfectly placed within the glorious gardens at Kirchhayn. Enjoy the elegant pitching range that has been so cleverly incorporated into the surroundings, or perhaps a gentlemanly game of croquet on the lawns.
Or if indeed you’d rather a more intense workout, have a game of tennis on the only turf grass tennis court Sri Lanka has to offer. Or if you’d rather indulge in less vigorous activity, sit in the shade and enjoy some bird watching, read a book from the splendid selection available or perhaps participate in a game of carpet boulle.

Nature lover? You can spend time strolling through the tea plantations and making a trip up to the two ‘Bostock’ seats. This was where the previous owner would sit and watch the tea plantation at work.
More adventurous? An hour and half trek will take you up to the ‘Patna’ where you will be able to experience the most dramatic 360 degree views around the plantation.

Wickwar Suite:

This suite is named after A.J. Wickwar. He was the surveyor general and original partner of Norman Bostock who was also instrumental in the building of Aislaby Estate.  This room holds some classic pieces of furniture and a time honored selection of books to tempt you
